Oil on 6"x6" panel, alla prima. I have turned my attention this week to the Grizzly. The inspiration for this painting came from a photo in a book also from a mysterious place in my Psyche, I have had many encounters over the years with the bear during dream time and I have had real encounters several times while camping. This strange connection feels very intense and surreal, when I paint the bear my creativity is electrified.

Inspiration in La Penita, Mexico

Back from Mexico with some images to post, all I can say is OMG! Mexico is my new love, eight of us went to paint, photograph and write, which we did everyday, framed 66 paintings and had a show at Xaltemba Restaurant and Galaria, even sold work! Sometimes everything goes your way. Hope we go again next yr. Because I can't wait to visit again. Everything was beautiful and it was most refreshing to meet all the wonderful Mexican people who made us feel so at home. life is Good especially in la Penita!
